If anyone asked me what my idea of a perfect date is my answer would be a day trip to see something beautiful! This is how my husband and I spent a day in the Pacific Northwest!

hoh rain forest

Hoh Rain Forest is one of the natural wonders of Washington state! It gets around 14 feet of rain each year and is classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Walking through the Hall of Mosses is nothing short of magical - the moss draped old trees make you feel like you just stepped into a fairytale!

tree of life

Suspended between two sand cliffs, this Sitka spruce is named the Tree of Life because it continues to live against all odds! The tree is hanging on by exposed roots that have created a cave underneath it, truly inspiring sight about resilience!

tulip fields

Mount Vernon established the famous tulip festival in 1984, originally being only a few day long celebration. Now the flower festivities go on for an entire month each year! The colorful tulip fields are breathtakingly beautiful and create amazing photo opportunities!

pikes market

Anytime I’m in Seattle I have to stop by Pikes Market! Filled with fresh produce, art and amazing street food, it’s a fun place to shop and walk around. My favorite bakery is located there as well - Mee Sum Pastry. Everything they make is absolutely delicious, but my personal favorites are curry beef puffs or hom bow and green tea sesame balls! This time we even ended up grabbing a second round for the road!

I love road trip dates and would recommend them for any couple. They are a great way to bond learning so much about each other and sometimes even about yourself!
